Facets Multi-Media is a non-profit organization dedicated to the exhibition, distribution & education of foreign, independent & classic films through our Cinematheque Theater, Videotheque (with over 50,000 titles for rent), and Facets Film School. The Chicago International Children's Film Festival (CICFF), a project of Facets, is the largest festival of films for children in North America and features over 250 animated and live action films from 40 countries. The Festival welcomes over 20,000 Chicago area children, adults, and educators to the screenings, and over 100 filmmakers, media professionals & celebrities attend the Festival to lead interactive workshops with kids.

Internship Description:

Facets Internships are a great learning experience for anyone interested in event coordination, film, fundraising, writing, marketing, publicity, non-profit organizations & PR. Some internships are seasonal and others are based on need. Internship areas include:


Internships require an average of 3, 8-hour days (weekdays) per week for a 3-4 month period. Some internships may require additional hours, evenings and weekends.

Compensation: Intern at YCC

Internships are unpaid but include many extra "perks" [while interning] such as: free admission into Facets Cinematheque, $2.00 rentals from Facets Videotheque, free admission into all CICFF events and screenings, free enrollment into Facets Film School classes and free soda and popcorn. Most of all, Facets internships are an intense and rewarding learning experience with a unique and celebrated Chicago non-profit arts organization.

There is no application deadline although application materials should be submitted 2-6 months prior to the upcoming internship session. Internships are roughly seasonal (Winter/Spring, Summer, & Fall). Submission materials include:
